About

Dr. Yaman Sağlam received his primary and secondary education in Samsun. After graduating from Samsun Anatolian High School in 1983, he continued his university education in Samsun and graduated from Ondokuzmayıs University Faculty of Medicine in 1991 and from OMU Medical Biology and Genetics Department in 2000 as a doctor.

After working as a lecturer at the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics at Kadir Has University, Dr. Yaman Sağlam then studied Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) at ESHRE in Belgium and the Institute for Reproductive Genetics in Chicago.

He worked at Istanbul Surgery Hospital between 2002-2003 and at Istanbul Memorial Hospital IVF Center between 2004-2007 as Genetic Diagnosis Center supervisor. During this time, a chromosomal abnormality and Preimplantation genetic diagnosis of many single gene disorders in Turkey (PGD) has made the application.

Between 2008-2016, he served as the head of Istanbul Göztepe Medical Park Hospital Genetic Diagnosis Center. Yaman Sağlam has started to work as a faculty member at Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine since 2016. It also serves at the PREMED Genetic Diagnosis Center in Mecidiyeköy.

He has scientific contributions to 30 articles published in international and domestic scientific journals, many scientific articles and 2 books. Yaman Sağlam is also a member of different professional and social organizations at home and abroad.

It conducts R&D studies and supports theses and projects on the application of new technologies in our country and the development of diagnostic kits for the diagnosis of genetic diseases.
